Care home residents enjoy visit along Grange Prom

Residents from a care home in Morecambe recently crossed the Bay by train and enjoyed a refreshing outing along Grange-over-Sands Promenade, taking in the sea air and stunning views from the comfort of the mobility scooters they hired for free from Morecambe Bay Partnership’s Active Travel Hub at Grange station.

The trip provided a welcome change of scenery and a chance for the group to socialise, laugh, and reconnect with the outdoors.

With support from carers, the residents cruised along the prom at a gentle pace, soaking up the sunshine and looking back across the Bay, to where they had started the day.

The outing was not only a boost for physical wellbeing but also brought joy and a renewed sense of independence to those who took part.
