Nestled among the quiet hills of Witherslack at the foot of the beautiful Winster Valley is our charming small campsite at Moss Howe Farm. Perfect for tents, campervans and glamping the site offers a back to nature experience in some of the most spectacular scenery Morecambe bay has to offer.

Heysham Heritage Centre

Changing displays of local information, past and present. Staffed by volunteers belonging to the Friends of Heysham Heritage Centre

Cumbria Wildlife Trust's Brown Robin Nature Reserve

A magnificent display of bluebells, wood anemone, wild garlic and primroses carpet the woodland in spring. grasslands have been fertiliser-free for many years which encourages wildflowers. There is a circular path around the reserve (2km/ 1.2 miles), waymarked with white-topped posts.

Lake District Farm Shop

Local produce shop where EVERYTHING comes from a local farmer, grower or producer, adjacent to the Courtyard Cafe within the grounds of Holker Hall. Free Admission to the Shop, Courtyard Cafe and parkland.

Leighton Hall

Leighton Hall is open to the public from 1st May - 30th September 1:30pm - 5:30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. From Silverdale station, it’s a 1.5 mile (40 minute leisurely) stroll on excellent public footpaths, through part of well-known RSPB Leighton Moss to Leighton Hall itself. Leighton is 3 miles from Carnforth Station and you can cycle using the Bay Cycle Way.
